The Ministry of Health in Emirates has banned drug used to relieve arthritis pain.

The ministry said in generalization which «Emirates Today» got  an image of it that «Herbal Health Jointcare» drug, produced by Ace Nutrition International, which is promoted as a herbal drug, Includes pharmaceutical hazardous materials, lead to ulcers in the stomach, blood, skin and muscle disorders and damage to the bone, nervous system disorders , as well as kidney failure and blood clotting.




The ministry issued a generalization to government health sectors and private hospitals in the state, to withdraw the product from the market, and prevent trading and import of it..

. The generalization said that Canada Health Body has issued a warning against the use of natural health products, because they contain undeclared pharmaceutical substances, which might cause serious complications and injuries if used without consulting your doctor. The generalization issued by the Assistant Undersecretary for public health policy and licensing, Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, said the Herbal Health product containing many medicinal materials, causing dangerous and chronic diseases, pointing out that the pharmaceutical substances which this product contains, cause several diseases such as the increase or decrease blood pressure and heartbeat rate, stomach ulcers, blood, skin and muscle disorders, and bone damage, also they cause «nervous system disorders, and changes in the proportion of body salts, dizziness, headache, anemia». Product also cause serious diseases, including «kidney failure, blood clotting, confusion, blurred vision and diarrhea».

The ministry has sent copies of the generalization to the Ministry of Environment and Water, and the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the Department of Food and Health at Dubai Municipality, to warn of the product. The ministry has asked the concerned government agencies to take action to withdraw the product from the market, and prevent its trading and import, noting that the product is not registered at the Registration Department and the Drug Control
