Dr Mohammed Alderazi: dozens of Saudis seek to conduct «vasectomy» to limit reproduction or stop it

Bahraini Urology consultant detected that dozens of Saudis seek to conduct «vasectomy» to limit reproduction or stop it, pointing out that the process is one of the «easy» processes which do not require surgical intervention. Also a lot of them said that it is «better than use of contraceptives for women».



Kidney and urinary tract Bahraini consultant Dr Mohammed Alderazi said  that «a lot of Saudi are doing this procedure recently, which were previously exclusive to women». He attributed that to the «ease and low cost, as well as the absence of any side effects », explaining that he has conducted «thousands of operations over the past 20 years, without occurrence of any health problems for the patient».

Alderazi revealed that he performs «more than 45 vasectomy operation per month, 50 percent of them for the Saudis», pointing out that the operation takes only half an hour, and cost more than 120 BD (1200 SR), stressing on «its ease, and does not require general anesthesia to the patient, and that is before making the operation we do a full medical examination for the patient. »

Alderazi stressed that terms of this operation include to have «consent of the wife in the event of Bahrainis patient.» And about whether this condition is applied to the Saudis he said «does not comply with this requirement for them», pointing out that this operation «does not affect the health or sexual side of the patient, nor the nature of the seminal fluid changed.
