The
General Secretary of the Council of health insurance, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif,
that all private schools are "obliged" to provide medical insurance
for all Saudis teachers and their children also, and who refrain from providing
insurance shall be subjected to stop the services to them, pointing out that
the Council stressed the necessity of providing the insurance.
This
came in fourth and fifth paragraphs contained in Article II of the list of
Cooperative Health Insurance Council, to compel owners of private schools and
all private sector institutions to provide insurance to their workers.
Al Sharif noted that the text of Article II
emphasizes the need for insurance for all workers in private companies and
institutions who are with work contracts, regardless of the form of wage they
earn, and the fifth paragraph came to say "if the worker is male, health
insurance includes his wife or wives and all children under the age of twenty
five beside his non-married daughters , but according to married female worker,
health insurance covers her husband if he was working in an excluded government
sector from compulsory health insurance, or he was working in another sector
does not provide a compulsory health insurance, or it does not work
Sharif
pointed out that there is coordination between the Ministry of Labor and the
Council, to punish violators of regulations of Health Insurance Council,
explaining coordination mechanism between them saying: If any person complained
to the Council, it is forwarded to the Ministry of Labor, which in turn stops
the services of the school after the confirmation of validity of the complaint
and the person eligibility.
The
health insurance includes the working wife and in this case also her male sons
until the age of twenty five years, and unmarried daughters.
