Dr. Amjad adds that the most important disadvantages of the treatment of orthodontics is the long period of treatment, which sometimes extend to three years or more, so lot of people refrain to do the operation in spite of the urgent need for it, and this fact was and still is a significant barrier puts Orthodontics within the different fields in the eyes of some because they are looking for Orthodontics in day and night to get stacked and beautiful teeth, but with the development of science, scientists were able to find a surgical method to speed up the movement of the teeth.

This method is called accelerated tooth movement by the use of peeling bone or punching bone and this way is summed up by conducting Simple gums before the start of orthodontic where the gums Specialist open the gum after giving the patient topical anesthesia and then the punch alveolar bone surrounding the teeth, therefore he makes grooves running along the bone either at the outer surface of the bone or on the lingual surface.

Amjad added that the next step is to return gum into its place and installed it by suturing and sometimes artificial bone is put on blanched bone in the form of powder, and two weeks later the dentist installed Orthodontics and start to modify it.

Scientists have found that this method enables the orthodontist to activate the device faster than the traditional way so as to increase the speed of projected tooth movement by using the same tensile strength or sometimes less.
