Saudi Arabia announced Registration of 9 cases infected with Corona in Taif.
During the past two weeks,The Command and Control Center at the Ministry of Health said on its website that it registered 9 cases infected «Corona» in Taif, along with sporadic cases infected with the virus which is likely to be the result of direct contact with unsafe camels according to the reports of the public health team.there have been cases of infection, including patients and health practitioners.
Health Minister-designate Dr/Adel Fakih made an urgent inspection visit to Taif hospital as a part of the ministry's swift action to deal with the cases that have been discovered infected with Corona (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) recently, also he and his accompanying team visited the command and control center at the Ministry of Health.
Dr/Al Fakih said that the current rates of infection in Taif indicate the possibility of registration of new cases in the coming period, so we must re-alarm the citizens and residents with the need to take the necessary preventive measures while dealing directly with the camel.He added: «It also invites us to emphasize the health practitioners of the importance of taking into account All infection control measures that have already alert them repeatedly, as the first line of defense for the health and safety of the community.
He stressed, saying: «Maybe you can not uproot Corona virus roots in the foreseeable future because there is no cure or vaccine yet, but the duty of the Ministry of Health to do whatever they can by harness all its potential to treat patients and protect health practitioners and society as a whole from corona infection».
He added " one case of infection occurring within the hospital requires the mobilization of the rapid intervention teams of the command and control center to contain the situation », pointing out that the command and control center of the ministry continues to coordinate with all relevant local and international organizations to redouble efforts to combat the virus, stressing work with all partners to reduce the infections number
Where command and control center is the permanent coordination with the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, also in collaboration with universities and scientific research centers to benefit from the expertise and potential of everyone in the fight against Corona virus.
