Dr. Abdallah Al Faidi: 40% of plastic surgeries in Saudi Arabia is for men

Dr. Abdallah Al Faidi (head of face and jaws plastic surgery association) said that 40% of plastic surgery operations in Saudi Arabia is held for men although, women is known to be and dominant in using this field all over the world and women care more than men about plastic surgeries.

Dr. Al faidi said : when I returned to The Arabian kingdom after working in America I expected that not more than 10% of men in Saudi Arabia will be interested in plastic surgeries based on my experience in The U.S , yet, I was surprised by men interested in nose and cheeks plastic surgery whether by operations or injection .

He added : men interest in plastic surgery has grown a lot in the last 5 years in addition of course to women interest which exceeds men interest in plastic surgery allover the world, based on my experience I could recognize people undergone plastic surgery by watching them for a moment , I notice them in nearly every public place I enter.

He added that the most demanded plastic surgery type in Saudi Arabia is the one held on cheeks which isn’t considered a complete process as its more like injection in the parts which needs to be highlighted , he warned from beauty centers which uses non specials to inject these risky needles which may lead to nerve paralysis.

About plastic surgery costs he said: its based on the state of patient and his demand as rhinoplasty costs 5000 – 20000 riyals and abdomen liposuction operation costs 15000 – 40000 riyals.
